Someone needs to offer Arthur Nishimoto a job in video game development with a quickness.

This University of Illinois graduate student has designed an “unofficial” Star Wars game that’s pretty much one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Fleet Commander. Nishimoto originally built the game to be used on the 52-inch TacTile touchsceen, but eventually upgraded the software to play on the school’s LCD wall, Cyper-Commons.

If you want to upgrade your gaming experience to the best thing after a real Formula 1 car, here’s the BRD 06 is the world’s first “1:1 scale F1 [racing simulator] with a fiberglass and carbon fiber composite monocoque chassis.” Other features include: F1-style lever paddles, a purpose-built accelerator, three 24-inch displays, and a 5.1 surround sound system.
